Current Work

Bondi Pure - Senior Developer (Apr 2025 - present)

Engineering across the Bondi Pure brand portfolio - frontend, backend, payments, observability, and AI-assisted conversion tooling.

  • Payments & PCI - End-to-end integration of the Bank of America payment gateway into the in-house CRM. Card-data handling, tokenisation, refunds, and reconciliation built to a PCI-compliant standard. Also led a substantial refactor of the existing payment-gateway API, collapsing significant duplication into a single shared abstraction.
  • CRM & API - Feature work across the Laravel-based CRM and its REST API. Schema design, controller and policy layers, queued background jobs, and tooling for the operations team.
  • Custom Nova dashboards - Built bespoke Laravel Nova dashboards for marketing, finance, and ops, including custom Nova tools, metrics, and resources tailored to the team's daily decisions.
  • Conversion AI agent - Designed and built a Laravel-based AI agent that reads conversion data from the CRM and proposes/applies targeted changes to landing pages, closing the loop between analytics and on-page iteration.
  • Observability & attribution - Integrated BetterStack for logging, uptime, and incident alerting across CRM and storefront properties. Integrated Trackdesk for affiliate tracking and attribution.
  • Marketing pages & email - Conversion-focused static landing pages and a Maizzle + Tailwind email pipeline powering transactional and lifecycle campaigns.

Career History

Ubiquilife - Founder & Lead Developer (Jun 2016 - present)

A multi-tenant SaaS platform running ten end-user applications on a single Laravel codebase. Ten years of compounding work across framework, product, and ops.

  • Appbase framework - Authored and maintained a private Laravel framework package powering every application on the platform. Provides UUID keys, global slug generation with Unicode preservation, organisation-scoped tenancy, soft-delete with audit trail, activity logging, and 20+ shared traits.
  • Public applications - Identime (OAuth identity provider), ULife (personal life management), UWork (time and ops tracking), Roadmap (project & task planner), Sitebase (marketing site builder), ShotCaller (record label ops), and several more. All share auth, billing, and infrastructure.
  • Architecture - Organisation-scoped tenancy, shared OAuth provider, Redis-backed sessions/cache/queues, MySQL on dedicated infra, Nuxt 3 SSR frontends where appropriate, single deploy pipeline.
  • Event-driven internals - Domain events drive Appbase's slug generation, UUID hooks, activity log, and integration sync. Idempotent listeners, queued where it matters.
  • Team - Trained and project-managed remote contributors in Laravel and Git.

Room40Coding - Development Team Leader (Feb 2023 - Sep 2024)

  • Led the development of Magento-based e-commerce sites, integrating Laravel modules for licensing and order workflows.
  • Maintained a Laravel/Livewire application managing Magento module licensing, including API-based licence enforcement.
  • Owned production and staging deployments end-to-end: peer review, UAT, release notes.
  • Provided technical direction on security practices, code quality, and developer onboarding.
